Layering Mani

Good Morning,  I didn't have time to change my mani so today will be skipping Blue Monday.  Next Monday will be back to regular programming. Lol!  Today I put on a layering polish SH Nail Prims Lavendar Pearl over FingerPaints Did You Ast-Her Out? from the Palette of Petals Collection.  If you want to see it by itself click here  My pictures doesn't give the layering it's true beauty.  In real life it has a green cast to it.  The lavender shows in the bottle but not on the nail maybe due to the base color.  Lavendar Pearl is quite thin so there is no other way to use this polish except for layering.  Now I'm curious to how it would look on other colors.

I love Sally Hansen Nail Prisms.  I wish she bring them back.  I found some at Dollar Tree Stores and the famous Ebay.   

I have been having so much trouble with blogger lately.  Spell check wasn't working for me this morning.  Have you been having trouble too?

Go Green Friday! Loreal Paris Jade 31F

                         (Live Green, Love Green, Think Green)

It's Go Green Friday! Hope you have a good one.  I found an awesome green polish at dollar tree.  You know the ones in the double packs. It's an oldie but a goodie.  Loreal Paris Jade a blue tone green with gold shimmer. I love this unusual green. The brush is a mile long. Lol!  No application issues being this is an old polish.  That goes to show you nail polish last forever!  If it starts to dry out simple add nail polish thinner.   Used 2 coats.

I really love the gold shimmer in it.  So sparkly out in the sun.

Going Green Tip: Re-use plastic grocery bags remove (ahem!) catbox waste THEN tie bag in knot and THEN pitch; keeps the garbage guys from "fallout" (ick!) and we don't have to buy any bags for that purpose.

CND Red Hot Duo

Good Morning,  I know I've said this before but I'm going to say it again. Lol! I'm in love with CND polishes and especially their Effects.  Everytime I walk into Cosmoprof or SalonCentric and if I see a duo I just have to pick it up.  This year I'm actually liking reds so that's a double whammy just couldn't leave it there.

The duo Just Red a jelly like consistency and Red Sparkle in a jelly clear base with very fine red glitter.  These two belong together.  Just Red only needed 2 coats and Red Sparkle only one coat and it covered well too! 

I love this effect... the glitter is so fine it's so smooth on the nail

  

Looks like strawberry jam...hmm!

I missed out on this set and want it badly :/

Dr. Remedy Winter Wonder Nails Collection Swatches/Review

How wonderful is having a nail polish line that's formulated by doctors.  These beauties are enriched with tea tree oil, vitamins and Wheat Protein. Sounds healthy, huh!  There are 4 shades in this collection.  I only received 3 of them.  Nuture Nude Pink is not shown.

                                Dark Brown, Heather Grey, Ruby Red

Heather Grey is a smooth light grey creme.  Great formula required 2 coats.

Dark Brown is an awesome cocoa hot fudge chocolate creme.  It was opaque with one coat!  I used 2 coats.

Ruby Red  is a dark crimson red shimmer that is an amazing rich velvet color.  I used 2 coats.

I had no problems with applying these.  They are superb!  Love the square bottles and the brush is excellent to work with.  My favorite from the bunch is Dark Brown.  It applied like buttah it just glided on the nail and did I mention how opaque it is!

Blue Monday, Loreal Paris 'Electric Blue'

Good Morning,  My job let us have the day off. Yay! ツ Cart Wheels.  I'm not going to complain.  It's going to be a relaxing  enjoyable day.  So, today I have on an electrifying color that's bright and cheery it's Loreal Paris Electric Blue from the Blooming Lights Summer 2009 Collection. There are 6 colors in this collection. I also have Shocking Green.  Did you get any? Which ones? 

Electric blue is a shimmer that has sparkles of teal flashing through it. How amazing is that! The formula was on the thin side so I applied 3 coats to get bottle color.

I just couldn't leave it alone so I put on one coat from my gigantic bottle of IQ Nail Lacquer Glitter Club which consist of  iridescent hexagon and ribbon glitter. 

Alot of junk in the trunk, huh...I love it like this ツ

The CND Daily Nail 2.16.11 - East Meets The Blonds & 3.1 Phillip Lim's Inky Arc Splendor

February 16, 2011 - Where were you at 7pm this evening? If your answer is not, "At The Blonds show," you're about to wish it was...


Tonight at The Blonds, CND's Kristina Estabrooks introduced 22 handmade, theatrical manicures inspired by Eastern culture meets ultra glam - in the form of fortune cookies ("You don't have to be blonde to be a Blond"), red sparkly Chinese characters (translated to "Blonds Love Diamonds"), "HIYA" and googly-eyed nails, and absolutely fabulous "Tranny-cures" comprised of Swarovski crystals and crushed glass with ombre undertones to color coordinate with outfits on the runway. Thai nails shaped with blinged-out hair clips, and dragons curled from thumb to pinkie were just some of the surprises to be seen. Matched with technicolor eyes and glittery hair pieces in afro and cleopatra bob shapes, this collection put the Delightful in DRAMA.






At 3.1 Phillip Lim, Angi Wingle created half-circle inky manicures deemed "Yazuka's flesh and ink" by the designer, using warm opaque Desert Suede and arcs in Midnight Sapphire (out in September 2011). Pedis were coated in two coats of Midnight Sapphire, nicknamed "Shogun's metal" by Lim. Half-pulled back, crimped hair and aquamarine shimmery eye shadow completed the beauty look inspired by sporty, on-the-go women.
